Often the choise of packaging is between plywood, pallets frames and cardboard, and we have had the Screening company MÅLBAR carry out a life cycle analysis (LCA) (In danish) on the three packaging.
The analysis shows that Heavy Duty corrugated cardboard boxes emit 50 kg CO2eq when used once, while plywood boxes emit 170 kg CO2eq and 3 pallet frames 143 CO2eq.
Even when reused, our HD cardboard boxes are more environmentally friendly. Even if the pallet frames are reused 20 times and the cardboard boxes only 5 times, the cardboard box emits less than CO2.
